Army National Guard Spc. Cheyenne Couffer has been mobilized and activated for a future deployment to an undisclosed overseas location.

Couffer is a Bradley fighting vehicle infantryman normally assigned to the 245th Engineer Company, Bristow, Okla.

He is the son of Fred and Martha Couffer of Chaparral, N.M.

His wife, Mireya, is the daughter of Joaquin Olivas of Albuquerque.

Couffer is a 1994 graduate of Chaparral High School.

Michael J. Hagan graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. After completing the course and graduating from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard or Reserve.

Hagan is a student at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.

He is the son of Robert M. and Donna M. Hagan of Albuquerque, and a 2002 graduate of Del Notre High School.

Felipe Garcia graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.

He is the son of Rosemary Gallegos of Albuquerque.

His wife, Candace, is the daughter of Butch and Diane Sovers of Albuquerque.

He earned a bachelor's degree in 2005 from the University of New Mexico.
