Four shows in four weeks? So much for a sport on the decline. The action picks up with the April 28 card at Sky City Casino in Acoma.

Four pro shows - two televised - are lined up for the Duke City area. The last two could overshadow everything in May.

Fresquez Productions is moving out of Isleta - at least for this occasion - while Top Rank is moving in. The two promotional companies have TV dates two days apart.

On May 23, Isleta's box-office star, Holly Holm (17-1-2, 5 KOs), will have her drawing power tested at Tingley Coliseum. Holm has been selling out the near-3,000 seat Isleta venue since she gave Christy Martin a boxing lesson in September 2005.

What she'll bring to the much-bigger Tingley arena (capacity 12,000) is a bigger question than who the undisputed welterweight champion will fight (expect an announcement early next week).

In the co-main of the Fresquez card, televised by ESPN2 on "Wednesday Night Fights," former super bantamweight champion Bones Adams (42-6-4, 19 KOs) continues his comeback against undefeated Leon Bobo (16-0, 2 KOs) of St. Louis.

The undercard includes Albuquerqueans David Martinez (17-2-1, 3 KOs), Hector Munoz (17-1, 11 KOs), Matthew Esquibel (5-0, 3 KOs) and Willie Villanueva (5-0, 1 KO).

On May 25, in a card televised on Telefutura's "Solo Boxeo," Top Rank returns to the city with a card at Isleta. It'll mark the first time a promoter other than Fresquez has thrown a card there.

In the main and co-main, out-of-towners headline the bill: Mexico's Jose Armando Santa-Cruz (24-2, 13 KOs), who has yet to disappoint with his ring performances, will be the main event, with highly touted Urbano Antillon (18-0, 11 KOs) of Mexico as the co-feature. Opponents will be released in the next couple of weeks.

A Sky City card is scheduled on April 28, promoted by Juan Romero. It will be an all-New Mexico show with six bouts. If it's anything like the solid card Romero threw in January, expect another half-dozen action-packed bouts.

Luna-born Joaquin Zamora (13-2-1, 10 KOs) is the headliner, with Espa¤ola's Monica Lovato (9-1, 4 KOs) fighting in the co-main.

Zamora will face his toughest opponent to date: former title challenger Cosme Rivera (30-10-2, 21 KOs) of Culiacan, Mexico. Lovato is up against San Diego's Carly Batey (2-0-2).

Zamora is defending his World Boxing Council trinket not worthy of mention. Lovato owns the North American Boxing Federation super flyweight belt with hopes of building toward her first world title belt.

On the undercard: Albuquerque super bantam Marcos Acosta (1-0) takes on Denver's Clyde Franklin (1-1); Canadian super bantam hotshot Tyson Cave (2-0), of Halifax, fights Santa Fe's Roberto Perez (1-2); and Las Cruces' Colbert Lozoya (4-8) attempts a comeback against Denver's Manuel Perez (6-3, 2 KOs).

Juan Romero's older brother, Danny, is up next, with a May 19 date slated for the Santa Ana Star Casino in Bernalillo. Danny's lineup on his March show didn't look to be nearly as competitive as his brother's. But the card turned out to be a roller coaster ride worth the admission. An official announcement is expected soon.

Of note to local fight fans, Duke City welterweight Ray Sanchez III (18-1, 14 KOs) will make another return. But don't expect a tough fight. Sanchez is coming off an injury and will, no doubt, have three or four less-than-stellar foes before either a step-up bout, if he can avoid injury.

Las Cruces' Austin Trout (8-0, 8 KOs) is a possibility for the undercard.
