The soundtrack for "Saturday Night Fever" should have been blaring in the New Mexico Scorpions post-game locker room.
The Scorpions are "Stayin' Alive" after their 4-2 win over the Arizona Sundogs on Wednesday night at Prescott, Ariz., in the second round of the Central Hockey League playoffs.
The win trimmed Arizona's lead in the best-of-seven series to 2-1.
Game 4 is set for 8 tonight and will be broadcast on KNML-AM (610).
The Scorpions' victory made it three-for-three for road teams in the series.
The Scorpions' Konrad Reeder scored his sixth goal of the playoffs, tying the score at 1-1 in the first period off a pass by Jamie Herrington. The Scorpions fell behind 2-1 before goals by Rob Guinn and Mike Prpich gave them a 3-2 edge, and their first lead of the series. Mike Falk finished the scoring for the Scorpions.
A Scorps win tonight will guarantee the series will return for Game 6 on Sunday night at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. Arizona will host Game 5 on Saturday night. If necessary, Game 7 will be held Tuesday at Santa Ana.
