ALBUQUERQUE A cement truck that rolled over this morning on a Big-I flyover snarled traffic for much of the day.
Phil Gallegos, a spokesman for the Department of Transportation, said this afternoon that crews were having a hard time getting the truck upright because it was so heavy. The truck was carrying cement powder, he said.
Gallegos was not sure how much the truck weighed.
Gallegos predicted crews will would have the accident cleaned up this evening.
The truck tipped over at about 9:30 a.m. on the flyover from southbound I-25 to eastbound I-40 due to driver inattention, said Trish Hoffman, a spokeswoman for the Albuquerque Police Department. The driver sustained minor injuries, she said.
