Scorpions head coach Ray Edwards resigned Tuesday to accept an offer to coach as an assistant with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
After starting 4-9-0 last season, Edwards guided New Mexico, of the Central Hockey League, to a 32-24-8 record and an appearance in the conference finals.
