Albuquerque Isotope Joe Borchard knocked in five runs and scored two more as the Isotopes pounded Memphis 10-0 Thursday night in a rain-shortened game played at Isotopes Park.
Borchard hit a three-RBI double and scored in the third, and then laced a two-run single and scored in the seventh. It was the second time he has drive in five runs in the last five days.
In 11 games since being assigned from Florida on Aug 7, the 28-year-old left fielder is batting .432 with five home runs and 18 RBIs. He hit .196 with four homers and 19 RBIs in 85 games with the Marlins. The Isotopes (68-63) now lead Oklahoma for the PCL South Division lead by one game. The Isotopes play Memphis at 7:05 p.m. today at Isotopes Park
