If only the dog had eaten my marijuana.
That's what one Del Norte High School student might have been thinking after he was arrested Wednesday.
Eric Awelagte, 19, was caught with nearly two ounces of the green leafy drug in his book bag, police say.
Awelagte claimed the drug was for his own use, a Metro Court criminal complaint states, but police said the marijuana was packaged in four baggies. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute.
