Viewfinder: Her man Santa

When Mary Stewart was asked to dance a few years ago, she had no idea where it would lead her life. "He had a cowboy hat on, so as far as I knew, he was a cowboy. Turns out he's Santa Claus." Her fiancé isn't just playing a role for the holiday season; he really is Santa Claus. Seriously. Just ask him. He's happy to show you his New Mexico driver's license.

"As I adjusted to this, I said, `Now, you can't be dressing like that before Halloween.' Well, he's moving it up a little bit all the time."

He wears bells all the time on his keychain. People are always turning around to look."

Stewart says that when they go out for rides on their motorcycle, kids and adults honk and wave. Some take pictures.

"Several times, they have almost run into the car in front of them," Stewart says with a giggle.

Engaged for the past two years, the couple plans to marry on Christmas Day. Santa will, of course, wear his red-and-white suit with fur.

Stewart made her own red velvet dress for the day. She plans to use a poinsettia bouquet.

"It is fun. He just makes people smile wherever he goes. Everybody becomes a kid again."
