Nicole Slater, a second-year veterinary medicine student from Albuquerque, was named a member of Phi Kappa Phi. The organization is a national academic honor society. She attends Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.
Heather Wood of Albuquerque performed with the St. Olaf College orchestra at a Christmas festival. She is part of the harp and percussion section of the college in Northfield, Minn.
Janet Jarratt was named the Volunteer of the Year by the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau.
Jarratt is a Los Lunas dairy farmer and serves on the board of directors of the Valencia County Farm and Livestock Bureau and also is a member of the New Mexico Farm Bureau's executive committee.
She is active in water and natural resource issues and was appointed by Gov. Bill Richardson to his task force on the responsible use of eminent domain.
Caitelen Anderson, daughter of William and Debbie Anderson of Albuquerque, was named to the Hope College dean's list for the first semester of the 2006-07 school year. The college is located in Holland, Mich.
