More than two weeks after Rio Rancho city officials revoked their mayor's city credit card, many of the charges he made are still a mystery.
Among about $8,000 in charges made by Mayor Kevin Jackson that are being questioned: $745 for what Jackson noted as "ZZ Top Concert - Mayor Chavez" at the Santa Ana Star Center.
"It wasn't this Mayor Chavez," Mayor Patricia Chavez of Bernalillo said Thursday.
Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez has previously said he did not attend the event.
Rio Rancho officials and police, State Police and the state Auditor's Office are investigating charges made by Jackson on his city-issued card.
Jackson also was fired three weeks ago as director of the New Mexico Family Council-Best Choice. The nonprofit group is being investigated amid accusations federal grant money for its programs was misspent.
Jackson has been unavailable for comment.
His attorney, B.J. Crow, could not be reached for comment Thursday, but has said Jackson is adamant that no city funds were misspent.
He said Wednesday that Jackson was traveling, but will probably make a statement soon after he returns Friday.
