RIO RANCHO Mayor Kevin Jackson says he will pay for any improper purchases after allegations arose that he committed check fraud and misused a city credit card.
Jackson broke a week of silence on the matter Friday. State Police and Rio Rancho police have been looking into questionable purchases, including suite rentals and concert tickets at Santa Ana Star Center.
The City Council plans to consider a resolution Wednesday that would censure Jackson for his purchases, indefinitely suspend parts of the mayoral budget and serve as a vote of no confidence.
