For the first time in more than 12 years, home-delivery rates for The Trib are going up.
But not by much - just 75 cents a month.
The Albuquerque Publishing Co. has announced price increases effective July 1 for The Trib - from $6 to $6.75 a month. It's the first home-delivery increase for the newspaper since 1995. There will be no increase in the daily, single-copy price for the newspaper, which is 50 cents.
T.H. Lang, president and CEO of Albuquerque Publishing Company, said higher costs for paper, ink and delivery left no alternative to a price adjustment. A portion of the increase will be added revenue for the newspaper's independent home-delivery carriers.
All current subscriptions that have been paid in advance to the Albuquerque Publishing Co. will be honored through their expiration date at the existing prices.
