Top secret
Pssssst. You didn't hear this from anyone in Richardson's campaign, but . . . he's running for president.
Seriously.
A call to the governor's campaign got a no comment when asked about an Associated Press story saying Gov. Bill Richardson will announce Monday in Los Angeles that he's done exploring the idea and is now a real-deal candidate.
But we're pretty sure it's true.
The location for the announcement, the L.A. Press Club, seems fitting. Richardson has been talking much more to the national media lately than, say, the Kates.
Guv on film
Richardson only looks a little presidential, however, in the latest video we've seen of him online.
The Web site MaryMacElveen.com posted a video of Richardson signing a disaster declaration after a tornado hit Clovis. The video consists of fairly random shots of the governor, pen in hand, destroyed buildings behind him, speaking in English and then Spanish to a handful of people.
Or maybe it's the video that isn't presidential. We all know people with video cameras are everywhere these days, so feel free to send us your best moments with Richardson.
He can sell it
The other big Richardson videos on the Web are, of course, his recent campaign commercials.
Turns out folks are still chattering about those.
Crazymonk.org has a whole discussion going about the ads, including this comment from New York Anthony: "I don't like him, either. But I like his commercials. Therefore, I will vote for him. I will also eat whatever new burger McDonald's is promoting."
