I have a colleague who fails to see the humor in "How I Met Your Mother" (7 p.m., KRQE News 13), and it wounds me deep down in my TV soul.

I've tried explaining the wonder that is Neil Patrick Harris' character of Barney, to no avail. My co-worker just smiles and ignores my rabid Barney love, as if I'm some sort of raving lunatic.

Maybe I should simply give up and accept that "How I Met Your Mother's" brand of humor is not for everyone, but I can't.

More of you must love it and keep it on the air so that I can eventually find out who is Ted's (Josh Radnor) baby mama.

The truth is out there, and I need to know it.

In tonight's episode, which is an ode to financial planning, Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) search for a New York City apartment to buy.

Their hunt is not the enjoyable experience they thought it would be, especially when Marshall discovers Lily's dirty, dirty credit history.

Someone needs to lend her "Girls Just Want to Have Funds." It's helped keep my puppies in kibble over the years.

My how times have changed on "Weeds" (9 p.m., Showtime).

It used to be that suburban drug-dealing mom, Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker), kept a low profile and only a select few people had a clue she sold marijuana.

These days, her secret ain't no secret anymore.

Everybody and their glaucoma-suffering grandma knows Nancy doesn't feel like working a lousy 9-5 job to pay her bills. Her kids, Bible-thumping Tara (Mary-Kate Olsen) and even a random biker gang know her business now.

Tonight, Nancy considers taking on the biker gang as a new client. Her brother-in-law, Andy (Justin Kirk), helps out by taking an inappropriate shine to Denise (Sprague Grayden, "Jericho"), a biker babe with a boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Heylia (Tonye Patano) and Vaneeta (Indigo) settle into their new surroundings at Celia's (Elizabeth Perkins) former pad/new growhouse.

TV's testiest women, Celia and Heylia, bound together by a common goal - I love it!
