The star of "Frank TV" (9 p.m., TBS), impersonator Frank Caliendo, "feels like a kid who just got his own TV show for Christmas."
That's almost exactly the feeling I got from it.
The comedy sketch show has the all the makings of a little kid hamming it up for Aunt Margie and Uncle Clifford while Mom gets a holiday lunch ready.
There are some pretty darn funny moments, though. Caliendo didn't spend years on "Mad TV" for nothing.
Caliendo's impersonations include John Madden, Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Robert De Niro and the cast of "Seinfeld."
The best skit is George W. Bush having Dick Cheney explain the birds and the bees to Jenna Bush.
My one complaint with that particular sketch is that they couldn't even get the hair color right on the Bush twins.
Very, very important detail, people. It's life-or-death stuff in comedy.
Flash back to the good old days with "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (7 p.m., KOAT-Channel 7).
In the 1973 special, Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the Peanuts gang.
However, the dinner he arranges is a big disaster when the caterers, the ever-professional foodies Snoopy and Woodstock, prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish.
Sounds better than sweet potatoes to me.
Charlie Brown is humiliated, and it will take all of Marcie's persuasive powers to salvage the holiday.
Enjoy the nostalgia. I know I will.
"Law & Order: SVU" (9 p.m., KOB-Channel 4) as usual will wreck any warm feeling you have about mankind.
Tonight, a young girl's death seems to be linked to the peace-loving world of ultimate fighting.
Detectives Chester Lake (Adam Beach) and Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T) initially question professional fighter Mike Kona (Forrest Griffin), but later the evidence trail leads them to two young brothers who have a skeleton or 20 in their closets.
Nothing sets the mood for the Thanksgiving season like pervy crime.
