"Scrubs" (8:30 p.m., KOB-Channel 4) kicks off its final season tonight with the whole J.D. Elliot love thing rearing its ugly, neurotic head once more.

I'm all for these two being together, but enough of this on-again/off-again nonsense already. Don't turn J.D. (Zach Braff) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) into another Ross and Rachel. I just don't have the patience for that anymore.

Fish or cut bait, people.

Also in the romance department, the janitor (Neil Flynn) finally makes a lady friend.

Whaddya know, miracles do happen.

Meanwhile, controlling Carla (Judy Reyes) wants to help her hubby, Turk (Donald Faison), deal with his diabetes. Her method of doing so includes allowing him to choose just one lousy candy bar to savor.

Carla is a cruel woman. Saying goodbye to the Snickers is something no one should have to do.

On my beloved "Ugly Betty" (7 p.m., KOAT-Channel 7), young Justin (Mark Indelicato) continues running with the wrong crowd, drinking beer and making out with fast girls, while his mom is off in la-la land.

I think I'm most troubled by the whole "making out with a girl" aspect of all of this. Seriously, if that kid is straight, I'll participate in that dreadful TV Turnoff Week I get so many uptight e-mails about.

While Justin is becoming a poorly dressed hoodlum, his aunt Betty (America Ferrera) tries the wonderful world of Internet dating. Her heart's not really in it, though, as she's only trying to blunt the pain of not getting to see love blossom with Henry (Christopher Gorham).

Needless to say, Henry doesn't take it too well when he discovers that Betty is going on a bowling date.

Rented shoes, cheap beer and heavy-ball throwing are clearly a recipe for romance.

Betty's co-worker Marc (Michael Urie) finds himself attracted to someone he normally wouldn't give a second glance to - unless it was to be catty.

And then Daniel (Eric Mabius) and Alexis (Rebecca Romijn) must endure a meal with their potential stepmonster, Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams).

Food fight!
