Weddings

Williams/French

Rio Rancho Mayor Michael J. Williams and Kealy V. French were married Sept. 6.

The evening ceremony at Rio Rancho's Chamisa Hills Country Club was held at sunset with the Sandia Mountains providing the backdrop.

Approximately 300 friends and family attended the private ceremony performed by Pastor Bob Guido of High Desert United Methodist Church in Rio Rancho.

Also attending were the couple's children: Jennifer and Jessica Williams and Deveron French.

Williams is a former Rio Rancho District 1 city councilor and a retired law enforcement officer. The first lady of Rio Rancho is employed at Edit House Productions LLC in Rio Rancho.

This is the first time Rio Rancho has had a mayor marry while in office.

Bur/Panagoulakos

There was no hiding when Stefani Rae Bur and Spero Nicholas Panagoulakos were married Aug. 4.

Bur and Panagoulakos were high school sweethearts. Bur was a sophomore and Panagoulakos was a senior when they started dating, so the couple had to hide their relationship from Bur's dad for a long time.

The bride's parents are Joseph and Trudi Bur of Albuquerque.

The groom's parents are Audrey Miller of Carlisle, Penn., and Nicholas Panagoulakos of Moriarty.

Maid of honor was Jaime Dowe. Best man was William Lily.

The couple, married at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, reside in Albuquerque.
