Here's to Tribune, UNM golf course

The Tribune is the best. I hope you are saved and remain the Albuquerque newspaper.

I have always preferred you to the Journal, and I have lived here for 50 years. The Tribune format is friendlier, and the TV schedule is easier to read.

A man purchased the Chicago Tribune. I hope his attention comes to you.

I also support preserving the University of New Mexico North Golf Course. It is an Albuquerque memorial for all, from the volcanoes to the Sandias. The new, out-of-state UNM president does not understand. He just sees land and says let's cover it with concrete — a businessman setting about to destroy rather than maintain and relish that landmark.

Trib's TV section rocks

We buy The Tribune every Saturday for the TV schedule and refer to it all week.

We will miss The Tribune.

House, Senate should impeach

For those who voted for George W. Bush twice for president and always believe what they are told on Fox News — such as C. W. Hubbard (in "Good riddance to liberal Tribune," letter to the editor, Jan. 5) — let me just say I know it's hard to accept that your president might have committed crimes or violated his oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States or put our military in an illegal war.

Let me please also say that facts are not liberal or conservative — they are the facts. Truth is hard to come by these days. Common sense is not very common.

You might also be shocked to learn that many of us agree that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi haven't done what they should — that is, impeach the criminals in this administration.
