Godshall, co-founder and CEO of Altela Inc.; and Bradley J. Preber, a long-time certified public accountant who is now with Grant Thornton LLC.

Good citizens: The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its annual Corporate Citizenship Awards. Nominations will be accepted through 5 p.m. Jan. 31.

Good powder: Visits to New Mexico ski resorts were up more than 20 percent during the holiday season this year, according to Ski New Mexico.

Top nurse: Presbyterian Healthcare Services last week announced the appointment of Doyle Boykin as vice president and chief nursing officer. Boykin has been with Presbyterian for 20 years, most recently as nursing director.

Scouts' honor: Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails Inc. has been awarded a $6,000 grant from Lockheed Martin/Sandia National Labs for its seventh annual Fair Play Science and Engineering Camp. The camp provides girls an opportunity to learn science, technology, engineering and math through various activities.

Banking on science: UNM last week announced its first corporate donation for the Science and Mathematics Learning Center's new Visualization Lab. The $250,000 grant was awarded by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for construction of the facility.
