Obama to visit Albuquerque and Santa Fe Friday

Sen. Barack Obama will hold an economic summit in Albuquerque and a rally in Santa Fe Friday as he fights to win over New Mexico delegates ahead of next Tuesday's Democratic presidential caucus.
And Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts will be in the Duke City at 10 a.m. Thursday to campaign for Obama, officials with the campaign confirmed today.
Obama's Friday visit starts in Albuquerque with a 1:15 p.m. event at the Kiva Auditorium within the Albuquerque Convention Center. There he will be joined by local and national experts to discuss his campaign's economic plan. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
That will be followed by a 6:45 p.m. "Stand for Change" rally in Santa Fe at Witter Fitness Center Gymnasium, 6401 Richards Avenue. Doors for the event open at 5 p.m.
While both events are free and open to the public, people interested in attending must receive tickets from the campaign.

Sen. Kennedy, meanwhile, will host a rally for Obama at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque at 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by a similar event at 1:30 p.m. in Santa Fe Community College's Jemez Room.
Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign has its own star power in New Mexico Thursday. Former President Bill Clinton takes the campaign to the University of New Mexico's Johnson Center for a 2 p.m. "Solutions for America" event.
