The Mall of the Emirates in the Persian Gulf sheikhdom of Dubai has an indoor ski slope where real snow can be created even when the outdoor temperature reaches 120 degrees. A report by the World Wildlife Fund has found that the average person in the United Arab Emirates, of which Dubai is a part, puts more demand on the global ecosystem than any other. The UAE's "ecological footprint" even surpasses that of the United States.
