Free Radicals store
Free Radicals keeps the counterculture alive in the Duke City.

Rachel Pridham, better known by her roller derby moniker Wombat, helps her friends John and Nan Morningstar, owners of the store Free Radicals, move to a new location at 300 Yale Blvd. S.E. in the University Area. The alternative apparel and accessories shop is also an unofficial hangout for roller derby enthusiasts. The Morningstars helped launch Duke City Derby in 2005, and Nan skates for a team.
