New Mexico music legend Al Hurricane strums his guitar as he watches his son Al Jr. play the trumpet during a recent rehearsal at Al Jr.'s home. Their Albuquerque band has practiced at the house for more than nine years. "I've asked my dad if we could rehearse somewhere else," Al Jr. says, "but we keep practicing here."
